Hi! I just had my second shot. My first one, I just had a sore arm. But with this second one I had a migraine I was also running a 100.4 fever and some chills, it all started the next morning it lasted about 2 days. At least I know my immune system is strong enough to get a response. I’m soo glad that’s over with! 😰

i had moderna but same case for the first shot! i just got my second shot on monday and had heard horror stories about the side effects... so i loaded up on electrolytes with pedialyte and extra hydrated myself with water before and after and felt wonderful! could feel bits of a headache coming through about 12 hours after but popped some advil and never had an issue. just tired. highly suggest pedialyte/airborne/emergen-c method!!!

@Clarice & T&T: you lucky ducks are all done! I'll grab some Tylenol before going in for my second shot. I went on the preventative for this first one by really pounding water, as it usually fixes any ailments I ever get (upset stomach, headache, fatigue, etc). Thanks for the tips!

Based on my personal experience and how friends and family reacted to shot completely healthy people no matter age have had a tough time with the shot. I think the reaction has more to do with if you have an established healthy immune system already or not. Just my opinion. No science behind that comment ! Are you still on that BHD ? I have been watching how you are doing and when you mentioned spaghetti it caught my attention. Stay well !

@CCC: Yes, I'm still on the Beverly Hills Diet. Yesterday was a banana for breakfast, pumpkin seeds (pepitas) for lunch, and my late dinner was a carb fest of spaghetti with peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes & eggplant, drizzled with olive oil and topped with fresh basil. I try to keep all my carbs in one meal, and always fruit at breakfast (and sometimes again for lunch). Had 2 mangos for breakfast this morning, and will probably just eat papaya for the rest of the day since I had pasta last night. I feel amazing after an all-fruit day.

I had a terrible reaction to my 1st shot of moderna fatigue, chills, fever, nausea, migraine, pins and needles it was awful but I got it because my immune system is actually pretty strong and I have never had Covid yet thank God when everyone around me did including my family in the same household don't want to go through that again ever I want to be part of the change. Ironically I think it's the other way around if your immune system is not that strong your side effects are less. I have notice with my pulmonary patients everyone over 60 is having no acute side effects so ironic. I do have a history of diabetes, chronic migraines and fibromyalgia so maybe that did contribute but when I got it all of these were well controlled and did well on the 2nd shot so weird🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

Congrats! Minor side effects are nothing compared to contracting Covid.

@Tr3vi28: Stinks that you had those effects with the Moderna, but luckily you never had Covid. I'd rather have the migraine for a couple of days than not being able to breathe!

@Shirfleur: my BFF got Covid, and her symptoms lasted 2 months (including a second hospital trip to be put on oxygen). A couple of days of a sore arm is cake!

Definetly beats Covid and what I've seen working in a hospital😔ccandco omg you are one of those too I've already seen some weird reactions at work too and usually to the first shot it's crazy I'm glad I got it but not planning on getting any booster shots as they saying

Older people has less symptoms because of a weaker immune system. Stronger immune system will trigger more severe symptoms.

I think we embrace the message we each want to hear! 😂 I have a very healthy immune system and was sick for two days following my second injection. The explanation that I got was that my immune system recognized the intruder and was strong enough to fight. - And those who have no reaction have weaker systems. So - who really knows?! At the end of the day, we chose to protect against Covid and that was a wise choice! Thanks for sharing! Happy for you to be done!☀️☀️
