Friday! I'm making a roast in the crockpot with red wine. my skin is sooo squishy/saggy. 🫤 I guess that's the consequence of being fat for 8 years.

Good morning, Jen! Ah...pot roast. Yum! The squish: it's always a bit awkward to face when you're self-reflecting. However, I doubt anyone else will pick up on it. We tend to be our own harshest judges, don't we? I certainly know I am.

Concarnelavida, thank you! between getting older and everything moving south, it's tough. I will work on building muscle in my phase 2 . I've gotta start! Focus focus focus on weights. I use to be a big time lifter. Time to put the work in to get strong 💪

Pot roast for dinner, that sounds great. I bought a very small one yesterday. Somedays I'm like who is this person in the mirror? Recently bought hand dumbbells. Only do a few minutes at a time, but been enjoying them. We're only as old as we feel, Jen. Like 35! =D

WINDY , I feel old. Hopefully I can reverse that with weights. You should go look at " Kathy Smith Lift Weights to Lose weight" video on YouTube. It's old but very time efficient and gives ya a great routine for the freeweights in just one workout!

Ok got it pulled up, it's about an hour long so Im going to watch that this evening. Are you kidding me? You look GREAT. I just want to look as good! Definitely hopeful this can help us both feel more youthful . My last job was very physically demanding, but that was almost 2 yrs ago. Ive got to rebuild stamina and tone up. Let's do it, Jen!!

Jen, that's an excellent idea—engaging in physical activity to boost those endorphins, while building muscle. Every time I look in the mirror, I startle myself; it's not the reflection I recall! But, moving on, I appreciate the Kathy Smith video recommendation. I've been searching for a starting point, and this might just be it. After a severe back and hip injury that had me confined to a wheelchair for quite some time, the carnivore diet was my escape from that dreadful situation. Now, I'm walking—not extensively or swiftly...yet. However, I'm confident that with persistence, I'll see improvement. Building muscle is crucial, especially as we age. It not only helps prevent dementia and other illnesses but also simplifies life. We don't need to be professional bodybuilders, but being equipped to handle life's hurdles is indeed a pleasure. I really appreciate your positivity and coming up with a solution that you can do. Brava!
