So I’m down another pound in a week. Good but can be better. Total 7 pounds in 3 weeks. Anyone having sleep problems on the Keto diet? I wake up in middle of night and cant sleep for 1-2 hrs. I figured out its because of increased Cortisol at night time. Body produces it to increase sugar but because there is no glycogen enough blood sugar cannot be produced (for sleep). As proof, people who eat some carbs at night time can usually sleep well.

I was on keto for a month, but never faced any sleep issues. one thing I ensured during that period was 6-7 ltrs of water everyday. don't know if that helped.

I drank a lot water during my first round of Keto. What it did to me was wash off a lot of essential electrolytes which the body has a hard time holding on to due to lack of carbs. Made me miserable. Dr. Berg on YouTube also advised not to drink too much water for this reason so this time around I’m drinking only as per thirst and then ‘a little more’. It’s working for me so far. I’m much more normal. I will do Pranayam which balances the autonomic and parasynthetic nervous systems. Will update if I see results...
