Katsolo's Journal, 18 May 24

Long walk last night after a long week. Have a couple things I’m chasing. Going to do some yard work today before the heat comes. Need to figure out how to increase the intensity of our walks without going into injury as body has adapted but I need to avoid plantar fasciitis which I am prone to. All the things, right?

Finally got to buy groceries yesterday. Was eating from the freezer last week as travel and four new tires set me back a bit, but we are digging out and I didn’t do a proper list before I hit the store.

Blob down, muscle up, water good. Gonna lift those bags of bark today. Oh, the joy, but it’s a good workout and it needs to get done.

Some random sights around South Park. Still just love it here. 💕 I have been watching for sunsets lately, the marine layer has been sitting low and that’s why we’re not having them. May gray and all.

Weekend rules, enjoy the day. It’s sunny already, I’m so happy!

4 new tires is tough! I am impressed you walk at night. If I don't walk in the morning, I don't walk. I usually run out of energy early to mid afternoon. Yard work is great exercise. The dog picture was confusing to me at first (eye sight is lousy). It looked to me like a dog lifting a weight until I realized there were 2 dogs!

Great pics once again Kat👍👍 Enjoy the weekend! Long calf stretches for plantar fascitis work great. Like 20-30min stretch hanging off a stair while attending a stupid work meeting.

nice pretty neighborhood. I've had sever plantar faciatis for 1.5 years. I can't do more than 6000 steps. sometimes i do more but it gets very irritated. I use my inserts from the ortho and wear the best support running shoes. doing calf raises a few times a day has made a lot of difference. then, I just sit my butt on a bike cuz it won't go away if I increase my walking. good luck

Jenjabba, it comes and goes for me. I really had to learn to replace at least the inserts in my shoes regularly, which i do and I do the stretches. I was trying to up my intensity last week and ended up aggravating it, but pulled back the next couple of days because i don’t even want to go there. It’s frustrating for sure.

Ahh its so frustrating. So, do you use the expensive ( $65) inserts from the podistrist? I haven't replaced mine 😬 .I did replace my shoes and am needing a new pair now. I wish we could just get a custom insert made. Would save money in the long run. Maybe we can.

If you have a road runner store where you are at they can make you custom inserts.
