I'm from New York City now living in Michigan while finishing my degree. I used to weigh 480 lbs. in 1997 I did gastric bypass surgery in late 1997. I when down to 240 lbs. I kept the weight off for a while. around 2004 a physician put me on some medications and I started to gain weight, by the time I dropped the doctor I when up to 385 lbs. I have been fighting to lose the weight since. I did karate for a while and went down to 290 lbs. but I hurt my shoulder and after surgery gain back the weight. It has been 4 years since then and now I have been going to the gym and doing weight training and cardio. I lost 30 lbs since December. I am now trying the Keto diet, I will see how it does. I am going to lose all the weight I want this time.
