June 8, 2020 Monday Hard as it has been (a month bobbing around 170, 171 and 172, That doesn't seem realistic since I have eaten less than 1000 calories a day. Only my extreme laziness and the fact that I am almost 80 accounts for such a slow metabolism. It seems as if eating a bit more carb helps. That swoop up and down of insulin in response to starchy food might be helping.
The helpful comment after I reported my weight said it will take 21 months to lose down to 142. But since my real goal is lower blood sugar and lower blood pressure the delay of almost two years really isn't discouraging. This morning's blood sugar is 107, yesterday 119, and the day before when I had a bit of tummy flu, 152! It's almost an invariable fact that being sick raises my blood sugar. Sort of handy, that.
76.7 kg Lost so far: 13.2 kg.    Still to go: 12.2 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
