Not hungry, always good when you start a 1200 calorie diet. Really determined to do it. What we have firmly put out of mind does not tempt. Statins make me sick enough that I won't be hungry probably until the damage done by the statin heals. I was so exhausted, that I could not stand for more than 15 minutes, was afraid I wasn't clear headed enough to drive a car. I got that way in six weeks on statins. I knew they didn't agree with me but I forgot how horrible they made me feel. I am 74 ,and if I am fortunate enough to have another couple of decades, it wouldn't be worth it if I had to live those years so ill.
The weight loss that comes with empty gut is always a lift, but in reality every pound from now on will come off slowly at 74. Beginning conditioning, planning to walk more and more every day until I get in an hour, 10,000 steps for sure. Blood sugar before lunch 76. Maybe time to cut back glypizide to half dose. On 9/14 morning blood sugar of 142. Maybe cutting glypizide dose was not indicated as the turkey didn't get done and we ate some starchy & fatty left overs plus a lot of veggies.
